Stand-up comedian Simon Talbot is one of Denmark’s biggest comedy stars. With his trademark energy, sharp timing and physical comedy, he has established himself as one of the country’s leading comedy names over the past 20 years.
Since his debut show Damp (2011), Simon Talbot has delivered a long series of successful one-man shows, including Talle Alene i Verden, Mr. Copenhagen, Make Denmark Great Again, Optur and most recently the large-scale Ekstra Extra. The latest show launched in 2025, played to sold-out theatres and seven arenas, received excellent reviews and, following strong demand, was extended with a nationwide tour in 2026. At the same time, he has built an international career performing in English, including supporting British comedian Russell Howard in the US, Canada and Europe.
Alongside his many one-man shows, Simon Talbot has been a familiar face on Danish television for years. He has had his own sketch show, appeared in numerous entertainment programmes and helped shape Danish comedy through shows such as Comedy Fight Club, Hvor Fanden er Herning?, Stormester, En Stor Aften and TV 2’s Bingo Banko.
In 2026, he also became the host of DR’s new satire programme Kommissionen, where each week he takes an affectionate, satirical look at the biggest news stories, politics and current events. The programme marks another step in Simon Talbot’s development as one of Denmark’s most versatile entertainers, moving effortlessly between stand-up, television entertainment and political satire.
Simon Talbot has been nominated for Comedian of the Year several times and has built one of Denmark’s largest fan bases. With more than 230,000 Facebook followers and a substantial audience across social media, he remains one of the country’s most popular and sought-after comedians.
